Common Help

Pace shows 0 steps and no data for previous days

Pace requests required permissions during first-time setup.

This can happen if you skipped or denied permissions during setup. To fix permissions:

  1. Open Pace.
  2. Tap the shield icon in the top-right.
  3. Follow the permission steps shown in the app.
  4. In Apple Health, make sure Pace can read:
    • Steps
    • Walking + Running Distance (recommended)

Live steps are not updating

Pace uses Motion & Fitness for live (while-app-is-open) updates.

  1. Open iOS Settings.
  2. Go to Apps -> Pace.
  3. Enable Motion & Fitness.

Why does Pace differ slightly from Health at times?

Pace can show live pedometer updates while the app is open. HealthKit remains the source of truth for stored historical data. Small temporary differences can occur and usually reconcile on sync.
